I wonder if Virtual Earth will lead to building-roof advertising?
Looking at this map, my first thought was "I wonder if this will lead to businesses cleaning their roof?", but then capitalism took over and I thought "hey, people could put ads on big roofs like that... it would be cool!"

I would hope not, but I'm sure it will happen -- just a matter of time.
It would make flying in and out of cities more interesting too.

It's a heck of a lot better than many of the -other- places advertising is seen and allowed.
Advertisers have taken advantage of free speech which was not concieved with them in mind, while political speech has been stomped on repeatedly.
But on your roof? Why the heck not? The only time anyone will see it is on Virtual or Google Earth (My favorite) and it wouldn't get in the way, it would only be a minor distraction.
