Have you tried using a full Anti-Virus scan, Ad-aware scan, and Spybot S+D scan?

I see the same thing 'overture monitor five bids NZ20041109A' in the space for searching on my internet explorer, like all the time for no reason. I use anti-virus software and norton internet security. I have no idea, this just appears in the search box.

I too started getting that search (with over 60k hits!) after installing two IE7 pre-releases, and still with the official IE7 after uninstalling the early versions. It always pops up in an IE6 (old toolbar) window. Since so many websites contain that string, there has to be an clue out there. You also see many pages with "overture monitor five bids..." plus different numbers after it. I am running Ad-Aware SE and we'll see if that kills it.

ARG! I have the same problem, only I'm sure it's not a virus... Lemme ask you a question, did you try the IE7 beta, and uninstall it? That's when my internet explorer started doing all kinds of weird crap. The reason I'm sure it's not a virus or spyware or something, is because Ad-aware, Spybot, and McAfee Virus Scan version 10 all say my computer is clean!
