I started developing my own Xbox 360 website back in February and had hoped by now, Microsoft would either accept or deny my request. I've heard that Microsoft has been very slow in responding or not responding at all from other web developers. I am with the others on here though, why can't they open the program to everyone else? I know Playstation 3's PSN doesn't have anything to compare to Xbox 360's XBL web feed, so maybe Microsoft is just holding back from us. ;)

Oh and before I forget.. Is there any chance you could pull some strings over at Microsoft in order for them to take a look at my request? I am one of those few who are creating a large site. :)

Hey Patrick, Alex... and everyone else... while I understand your comments that it should be more widely available, that is exactly why I made this service on my site. I understand that you would rather be hitting a service on xbox.com or something similar, but I do strive for high uptime and few breaking changes... and I am a Microsoft employee by the way, so we aren't all in favour of restricting access to this data :)

Duncan, great post and info. I've been trying for a while to find something like this!

One problem I have though...? I have consumed your webservice in VS2005 and I am trying to get back data for my GTag, but, I keep getting error: Data source is an invalid type. It must be either an IListSource, IEnumerable, or IDataSource.

I'd prefer to use the web service rather than a get method as it's cleaner. Any help greatly appriciated. Love this service. Ditto what everyone has already said, its great! - thanks for making it available. Question though..anyone know why some output for some gamertags show <LastSeen>0001-01-01T00:00:00</LastSeen> and offline, even though I can see they are really on if I go into xbox.com? Are their profiles corrupt or something?

This service is great - though it's a shame that MS has decided to limit who has access to the APIs for Xbox Live.

Any chance that the server you connect to has the ability to get achievement info for a specified Gamertag? I've already written a small script to update Twitter with my Live status, but I'd also like to build something that can update based on Achievements that I earn.

Well, if you have a friend with a Custom FirmWare on his/her PSP, then you can make a regular battery into a tool battery (or so it is said) Just pull out google and look up pandoras battery and make your battery into a tool battery... It wont be able to function as a norml battery afterwards though... Or you can get either the normal battery as a tool version, and you can get the same battery for the slim version of the psp... The pandora's battery was made by some of the most known psp hackers, and if i had a chance to get hands on a psp with CFW, then i would use it... But google the stuff... Hope you guy's finds this useful... :)

the final mission is a bitch. the way i did it was i created a treaded mech with sniper cannons and assault rifles, and snuck around the first big hill. once i was in position, i started laying on as much fire as possible (try not to miss) on the big guy, so he was weaker. then, when the little one came around, pepper him with shells until he dies. this is where things get sketchy. you need to make sure the big guy does not get too close, otherwise you will die. i highly recommend keeping lots of distance, and just keep hammering him until he is dead. it took me 4 times to get this right, so dont get upset if it doesnt work out right away.

Same problem here. I've looking everywhere on the net hoping to find a solution t this problem other than sending it back in for a refurb. I tried taking the battery, adapter, and memory card out and the same problem still persist. I was thinking it may have just been the battery but when I just plug up the adapter the samething happens.
If any1 knows of a site where they fix PSPs please post it up for those who need serious help with this problem. I'm not rich so buying another PSP is definetly out of the question.
There has to be a way for the consumers to fix this seeing that when you send the PSP back they fix it with no problem. customer support told me that they would fix it and send it back to me and the only thing that would be different is the casing, but the motherboard would be the same exact one I originlly sent to them. Anh help or ideas would be great.

I heard the if you put them in the microware for excatly 20 seconds this also unbricks them. A mate of mine did this and he said after 20 seconds he took it out and and whola 3.03 oe-b was running on it. Anymore than 20 seconds tho you will have 3.03 sony firmware so be carefull.

ALWAYS READ THE README THAT COMES WITH THE PROGRAM

it's true... it's confirmed on wikipedia

I'm a little skeptical of Star Trek RTS games. They aren't exactly the most fun to play, excepting maybe...just maybe Armada II. I always loved the Starfleet Academy/Klingon Academy games from Interplay. I'm a little curious to see how Legecy fairs. What impressions, if any, did you get from hands on time?

The 360 retailed for 300/400, but how many people do you know that could buy it at that price until very recently? I managed two bundles, one was a core system for $1000 (with 10 games) and the other was a premium bundle for $700.

So it's not just that the base price is nearly double, it's that the 360 will be readily available and not at a premium when the PS3 launches.

The only thing they can hope is that the price is sufficiently high to keep the demand low enough to match supply, and then it will be available at normal cost. That is doubtful, though, especially since we know the retailers love their bundles.

The PS3 is a "good deal" if you're in the market for a Blu-Ray, and I may buy one eventually. But I am definitely not planning on paying a premium for this, since I already have a next-gen console, and MS really seems to have gotten a lot right with the 360.

      MSFT doesn't own BioWare, but for the gaming bundle contest they are including a 360, and the site reads;

"BioWare has partnered with industry leaders NVIDIA and Microsoft to provide hardware to selected winners who enter the contest below."

So if Microsoft was involved in the contest, I think that knocks me out of eligibility. On the other hand, I see no such restriction about the Jade Empire contest, but we may be the distributor of that title which could also make me ineligible... overall, it is probably not a good idea for me to enter a contest run by someone who is such a close partner of ours :)
