Is it just me, or are urls from .info a nearly certain sign of spam? I'm considering making a .info address a high indicator for spam in some of my web site code, thoughts?

Duncan, I've considered doing the same thing in my battle with comment spam. Hearing someone else considering doing it makes me feel better about even considering it. :)
I know a few legit .info users, but the majority seem to be search-bait. Sometimes it seems the only information from .info domains is about texas hold-em and erectile disfunction.
Well, most people worth anything usually try to simply become more creative with their URL's to maintain a standard com/org/net. I generally have found that the .tv, .biz, and .info folks are either spam or useless (no offense). But I don't think the W#C is going to approve .USELESS or .SPAMMER anytime soon, so I think the possible drawbacks to blocking .info are greatly outweighed by the positive reduction in spam.
